While both men’s and women’s teams performed better than expected in hockey for India at the Tokyo Olympics, archery and shooting were disappointed. Today, on the 16th day of the Olympics, India is hoping for a medal. In Javelin throw, Neeraj Chopra will be in search of gold, while Bajranj Punia won the bronze medal match and won the second medal for the country in wrestling. Indian golfer Aditi Ashok finished fourth in the fourth and final round of golf.

Neeraj Chopra won gold, created history

For the first time in India’s Olympic history, an athlete has won a gold medal. Neeraj became the second Indian after shooter Abhinav Bindra to win an individual gold.

In the last round, Naraj threw 84.24 meters. In the fourth round and fifth round, Neeraj’s throw went in vain and was declared invalid. Even after this, the 87.58m thrown by him in the second round has kept him on top.

Neeraj remained on top in the second round as well

In the second throw, Neeraj scored even better than the first attempt and this time his spear went up to 87.58 meters. It was only after releasing the spear from his hand that Neeraj came to know that his throw was very good and he raised both hands in the air.
