Information about the IPL to be held this year has started coming to the fore. In the same month, the pre-tournament mega auction was successfully held in Bangalore. According to the report of an English sports website Cricbuzz, 70 matches will be played in the group stage between a total of 10 teams playing in the 15th this season.

55 out of 70 group matches between all these teams will be held at three stadiums in Mumbai. This time Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium have been chosen to host the tournament due to the introduction of Corona Omichrome variant. Apart from this, the remaining 15 matches are to be played at the MCA International Stadium in Pune.

Two new teams were added

All the 10 participating teams in this season will play 4-4 match group matches at Wankhede and DY Patil Stadiums. At the same time, these teams will get to play three matches each in Brabourne and Pune. This season the number of teams has been increased from 8 to 10. Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans have added two new teams.
